Applications for admission should be made on official AYA forms. Although there is no fixed cut-off date after which applications will not be accepted, an applicant must be aware that AYA practices rolling admissions whereby sets of applications are reviewed at intervals. When all the places available have been filled, admissions are necessarily closed. Further, an applicant should allow ample time both for gathering the credentials which are required, for the certificación of preliminary admission, and for obtaining the SPANISH STUDENT VISA , without which it is impossible to enroll in any Spanish university. The Visa is affixed only to a valid U.S. or Canadian Passport and requires an attestation from Academic Year Abroad, special application forms, and a Medical Report These steps will require at least a month in most cases, often much longer. As a rule, applications for the fall should be completed (not initiated) by the end of April, for the spring by the end of October. Visas are valid for only three months before entering Spain. Students already in Europe may facilitate the process by making inquiries at our Madrid address. Those wishing to correspond with the Directora in Madrid should address themselves to Dña Gayle Witzig. You may write to her at [email protected].
